I'm a comics and features writer who has worked in comics and magazine publishing in the UK for over 20 years. My day job is Managing Editor of ROK Comics, which enables comics creators to create or adapt their strips for mobile phones, which can be delivered worldwide through WAP subscription and single downloads -- potentially reaching a much bigger audience than that for web-based comics. In addition to comics delivered via the main ROK Comics web site and WAP service, we have partner services in China (where some strips are being translated into Chinese), Pakistan and South Africa, with more in the pipeline.
I've written strips for various companies such as Marvel, Fleetway, Lucky Bag and commercial companies seeking to use comics as a promotional device. I've also edited various magazines including the official Babylon 5, Doctor Who, Star Trek and Star Wars Magazines.
My British comics news and features web site, downthetubes.net, web site features news about British comics and a somics writing guide.
Subscribe to the ROK Comics WAP Service
You can view all the comics on ROK Comics on your mobile by subscribing to our WAP service for a small monthly fee - £3 in the UK.
Simply visit this page on the ROK Comics site and choose the subscribe option. When you receive a WAP push message to your mobile, connect to the site using that link using your browser, bookmark it -- and you'll be subscribed to ROK Comics Mobile for the next month.
Yes, it's really that simple. Please note, the link we send is exclusive to your phone, so don't lose it!

thanks for the two great Temple ads - much appreciated.
I'll try and write up an account of the Bristol con for the Down The Tubes site, providing I get to see enough interesting sights (as I'm only there for seven hours on the saturday).
Just joined up the Downthetubes Ning. Definitely a good discovery by John Kirkham, this Ning thing. Very flexible.
