About Me:
I'm a writer with some small press success. Haven't been on the scene for a few years for personal reasons but back and ready to go !!

Finished!!

It's done - 60 pages typed up. Very happy with the outcome and I have my good friend Marc Olivent illustrating a cover as we speak. I know I'm not going to win any awards for this but I've proved to myself I can do it. So thanks for the challenge Mal :o) So in the next 6 weeks it should be up on Lulu.com I've also landed a writing job. A few lads from Canada are producing a graphic novel about a team of heroes in the 1930s. I've been given the job of writing a back story for a character that… Continue

Fingers crossed! I am really enjoying it and have plans to release more in the coming 12 months Scott

The way forward for me ....

Yes for anyone that knows me this is truly a feat. I've had a fear of computers and technology for a long time ( I think Terminator must have frightened the life out of me as a kid !! ). But now I'm here and I'm telling the world about my latest path to fame and fortune. Novella's !! I'm a writer who can't draw. I've wanted to do comics for a long time but trying to find artists to commit is a nuiscance as these guys usually are trying to make a living doing something else at the same time.… Continue

Prey just came to a stop, I think Dave Miller was rudely interrupted by life, I only received the complete pages, so as far as I know there was never anymore than what appeared in CAOF, shame as it had definite potential.
Just read Reaper Squad again, that looks to me like his has some more mileage in it yet, maybe look at it again?

Feel free to invite Richard J. Smith onto the Temple (and Smallzone) site. He'd be most welcome.

I've had to dig out the CAOF's now, I had the first strip in issue 2 (I cringe looking at it now), then 5,6,7 and 9, with some dabbling at lettering on a strip called 'Prey' that was in 8-10.
Then I became really reliable and the final part of rubbernorc took about 4 years to complete in issue 21 (that's a wait for only the most patient).
Oh, might be some Gonad the Barbarian in there somewhere too.

Just been having a root around in my CAOF back issues too. I think the one issue that we shared space in was Issue 12 (Me and Lee Cooke had our 'Pignapper' strip in there).

Any idea what happened to Richard J. Smith? He was a cartoonist with a huge amount of talent, and I had high hopes for him.

Hi Scott,

So which issues of CAOF were you in? I've got some copies stashed somewhere.

Thought your name sounded familiar. I'll have to dish out my old CAOF issues when I get home.

Me and Stu 'Gidz' used to do quite a few strips for CAOF, back in the old days (as did Paul Eldridge).

Heya Scott, welcome aboard!

Bloody hell...all these community sites eh?

Feel free to attach one of your scripts somewhere in the forum if you want a little feedback.

Although most of the artists here are busy with a zillion or so projects, if the script's a good 'un you may find someone interested in drawing it.

So, which small press comics has your work appeared in before? I've only just recently returned to comics myself, after a five or so year break to try my hand at writing for TV.
