Feels like the first time...

...and it is! I've never ever ever done one of these blog thingys before. Welcome to the 21st Century, Gordon... So, what am I up to. Well a couple of things on the burner - the Doc Strange, Flash and Odin pieces are still on my pile for inking (still not very confident of that part). I am revisiting a piece I had started for the R3 forum, which although practically complete, I ditched as I wasn't happy with the stiffness of pose selection for the character (artists, eh? Our own worst critics!!… Continue

Heya Gordy,

only just discovered your message on here. I figured it was probably family reasons or something - hope everyone's okay now.

The pages on the site would've been a bit too small to include, but not to worry - there's bound to be another digital issue along in the future. I'll start a discussion on that after the convention (I'm thinking one every 4-6 months).

What I might do in future is open a specific discussion thread where people can attach the art they want to go in the next issue any time before the deadline. That way we'll all be able to see how things are progressing, and people can put work in one page at a time whenever they get the chance, if needs be.

Look forward to seeing more of your art on the site in the meantime!

Dave

Apologies for missing your 9pm deadline. I have had a few problems here at home with a sick family (means me working from home tomorrow mind you!)

I'm in the process of scanning sdome stuff I have had from the last year, and would be grateful if you let me know of any future thing and I can get it to you.

Saying that - 56K modem?? Get yourself on the broadband dude! Not that much dearer - honest!

Finally, if you want I could rustle up a quick intro page and you could use the stuff posted here if you want?

I look forward to your contribution then Gordon! No later than 9 pm though, as I have to download the art on my 56k modem, then put it all in a PDF.

If you have a website you'd like me to put a link to on your section (which Paul Eldridge has shown me how to do. Thanks Paul!) then let me know.

It might be between 8 and 8:30 on Thursday before I get anything to you (two young kids to get to bed) if that's okay, but I will deffo try and get some stuff to you. Cheers.

Hi Gordon,

there's no specifics on what you supply for the contribution - it can be work in progress, pin-ups, pages of strips etc. The only necessity is to make sure the pages are JPGS, at least 1200 pixels in width (about half an A4 page) and at no less than 150 DPI. Also, the deadline for sending work my way is this thursday (May 1st).

Your contribution can be anything from 1-5 pages, preferably with a cover that contains a little info about you (even if it's just your name and a picture).

Send pages to: purecrass@hotmail.com

I hope to receive something on Thursday if you get the chance, and it's a real pleasure to be seeing more of your art after such a long time!

Cheers for the kind words Dave. I'm actually in Hitchin tomorrow with some work commitments, but would love to try and put some stuff your way. Any specifics on what is supplied? I haven't any completed strip work handy unfortunately (most stuff is in progress). I'll see what I can rustle up.

Nice to see some quality artwork from you, Gordon.

Feel free to send some of it my way for the Digital Temple (deadline Thursday 1st May) - it'd be brilliant to have you in there.
