The Temple - Issue 1

Okay, now myself and John Kirkham have got a few details sorted out it's time to start looking at putting the next Temple Showcase issue together.

John K. will be doing the assembling, with me helping out in the background.

The deadline for submissions is October 1st (a wednesday), perferably by the evening.

Contributions should be no more than five pages in length, with a front cover containing contact details etc (see the Temple 0 PDF for examples).

All material must be comics related - whether it's strips, scripts, work in progress, pencils, sketches, inks, colours etc, the content is completely up to you. Though it's probably a good idea to include examples of your best work. Although mature content is acceptable, it will be removed from the 'Child Friendly' version of the Temple Showcase that will be released at the same time.

Remember, the PDF will be freely available over the internet, so it's probably not a good idea to use copyrighted characters, or strips which you intend to sell (unless they've already appeared on the internet).

All pages should be no smaller than 1200 pixels wide, and at 150 D.P.I. (bigger is fine, but smaller may cause a loss of quality when people view your page in the final PDF). JPG's are also preferred.

Please email the pages you intend to contribute to: templeapa[AT]googlemail.com

If anyone has any questions, just ask.

It might also be nice to get an initial show of hands from those people who hope to contribute. If you know anyone who you think would be interested in contributing but isn't a Temple member, feel free to send them an invitation to the site.

Cheers folks!

- Dave Hailwood.

Eagle-eyed observers may have noticed that I've altered a few details in the statement above.

John Kirkham will be putting the next issue together instead of me, and the email address to send work to is now: templeapa[AT]googlemail.com

I'll put out a few announcements towards the end of this month.

I'll definitely be contributing something. Anyone else?

Should have a few pages to add to this, got a couple of pages of 'Chubb the fat bloke' that I wouldn't mind seeing completed, and got some barbarian pages that might be complete by October.

Thinking I might find some of my old scripts that are more action/adventure and get them typed up, funny feeling I'm going to hate them if I look at them now though.
